Technical Info

INFORMATION FOR SPEAKERS

PC computers will be available for oral presentations in each session hall.

Please bring your presentation on a USB stick / “disk on key” Memory stick (using the USB port in the computer) and give it to the A/V technician in the session hall during a break before the start of your session, or before. The A/V technician will upload the presentation on the Meeting’s PC.

If combining video films with PowerPoint, please make sure to check it in the session hall during a break before your session. It is recommended to test your presentation at least one hour before the start of the session. In order to prevent delays in the session, we do not recommend that speakers use their personal computer. However, if you wish to do so, make sure that your laptop has an HDMI socket for external signal, and coordinate it with the A/V technician in the session hall, at least one hour before the start of your session.

Important Notes for Machintosh Users

In order to use MAC presentations on a PC compatible computer, please make the following preparations before coming to the conference:

Use a common font in your presentation, such as Arial, Times New Roman, Verdana etc. (special fonts might be changed to a default font on a PowerPoint based PC).

Insert pictures as JPG files (and not TIF, PNG or PICT – these images will not be visible on a PowerPoint-based PC).

You may use your own Macintosh laptop computer. In that case, please verify that it has an HDMI socket for an external signal and arrive to check it first with the A/V technician in the session hall, at least one hour before the start of your session.
